má ráda dobře propustnou zeminu s dostatkem vápníku.Slunné stanoviště.Snáší i sušší prostředí.Na zimu přikrýt kořenový krček listím nebo chvojím.na jaře seříznout proschlé větve na cca 30cm.I když v zimě dost často promrzá po seříznutí opět vyraší.

Budleja nebo Komule Davidova,nebo Letní šeřík,je jeden název pro tento keř.Je v několika barvách fialová,bílá,žlutá, já mám bílý,nepřikrývám ho vždy na jaře vyraší,ale fialový mě vymrznul.Ještě nekvete jak bude tak vyfotím.

Pěstuji je 4 roky mam jich kolem 40ks.Na podzim je raději nekratit hlavně přikryt krčky, až na jaře je sestřihnout. Jsou pastvou pro motyli. Dokonce se mi semeni na podzim male rostlinky dam do skleníku a na jaře sadím.

Mám je mnoho let právě kvůli motýlům, čmelákům a dlouhozobce svízelové. Také se mi semení. Loni jsem si objednala žlutou, zaslali lila barvu, ošklivá. Semení se samo, žádné problémy s nimi nemám. Na bílou barvu moc hmyzu nelétá. Je to ráj pro sršně, likvidují motýly. Není nad posezení u komule..
